The Dirse Mentor Program, which has been carried out by DIRSE (Spanish Association of CSR/ Sustainability Professionals) since 2016, and supported, by the EY and SERES foundations, has now been selected as a Good Practice at European Level. This has happened, through the great initiative called “A Roadmap for Integrating Corporate Social Responsibility into EU Member States and Business Practices”, also known as ROAD-CSR Project.
The exchange of experiences and good practices are such an important part within the ROAD-CSR, while establishing a roadmap to integrate CSR into national legislation. Thus, this project belongs to the European Interregional Program that aims to help the European Union Member State’s to integrate CSR in their regional and national legislations.
Moreover, the Interred Europe Evaluators by means of their Platform of Policies Learning has published Mentor Dirse as a good practice. The reason why is due to the fact that it has been considered of great interest for its transfer of knowledge to other territories and other contexts. Also, political representatives of all around Europe would be able to consult it. You can check it out: www.interregeurope.eu
Indeed, it is already drawing a lot of interest that Greece has shown their intention to adopt our good practice in order to implement it within their territory.
The Dirse Mentor Program is what underpins our commitment to training and education of future generations of Spanish “dirses”, CSR/Sustainability managers. After the successful completion of the 2016 pilot edition, and the renewed editions of 2017-18 and 2019, the next program will start at January of 2020. This plan aims to train the future managers of social responsibility and to boost the CSR jobs in the organizations. At the same time, there will be a mentoring process based on the individual relationship between mentor and mentee, which is understood as a process of advice, transfer of knowledge and management experiences which aims at helping the mentee professionals to think over how to improve their own management and that of his/her organization. Thus, The program is aimed at junior managers in the role of CSR who have an innovative project with an impact on the role of CSR and in the society.
